    cozy room
    noisy road
    small room

amazin place to stay with a perfect location for our trip to gaping gill. the staff were super friendly and the food was just delicious, like seriously! our room was cozy and had everything we needed, even a fan which was a nice touch. fridge on the landing for using our own snacks was also helpful. really appreciated the thoughts the staff had put into our stay.

only downside was the noise from the road, it was kinda loud at night. also, the room was a bit small for my taste.

The place has a solid pub vibe, perfect for unwinding with a pint after a day out. The rooms are adorned with unique touches, adding character and warmth to the stay.

Rooms tend to be on the smaller side, with limited space if you're traveling with more than just the essentials. Noise levels can climb, especially if you're above the pub. expect some raucous evenings. The evening meals fall flat—one dish was poorly executed, and the vegetarian options lack creativity. Shower pressure could be intense, but some might appreciate that level of refreshment. thicker towels would raise the comfort grade a notch, as the current ones feel a bit lacking compared to the overall feel of the linens.

    clean facilities
    comfortable bed
    great location
    loud traffic
    missing fridge

I loved the cozy feel of my room here. Despite its small size, it had everything I needed, clean linens, and a really comfortable bed. The shower was powerful, definitely one of the best features. The location was spot on, just a short walk from the heart of the village and close to the trails. Staff greeted me warmly and were always ready to help. noise from the busy A65 road was a real downside, making it tough to get a good sleep at times. I also felt that the food options were limited, especially for vegetarians. One morning, I had my food taken from the shared fridge. Another thing, the check-out was a bit early for my liking, feeling a tad rushed. it's a great spot for locals and hikers, but a few quirks could use some tweaks.

    Charming stay with tasty meals

I had a lovely stay, enjoying clean and cozy rooms with a warm atmosphere. The evening meal was a highlight, with excellent steak that exceeded my expectations. The location is great for accessing local walks, though the noise from the main road might not suit everyone. it was a delightful experience with friendly service.

    early check-out

Homemade bread at breakfast was a highlight, paired with solid local fare. Plus, the location rocks with proximity to fab walks like Ingleton Falls and a bustling bar vibe! Karaoke on Saturday? Absolutely a hoot!

One cheeky note – the traffic noise from the A65 can be a bit of a bother, especially in a front room. Check-out at 10 am felt a tad rushed, despite the fun stay.

Comfortable and clean room with a welcoming staff made for a pleasant stay. Enjoyed the generous shower and the delicious salmon at the pub restaurant. We had a lovely time enjoying the karaoke night, and the cozy atmosphere made it even better. There were some great spots to relax, like the garden and the charming pub. The room was a bit cramped, but it didn’t take away from the overall fun we had. 😊
